CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS & WAIVER OF STANDARDS
Conference Champions: The IC4A will continue the practice of allowing athletes that are conference champions to compete in the IC4A Championship even if they have not made the Qualifying Standard. In such cases, you may designate only one (1) conference for selecting athletes from. This is NOT an addition to the "Waiver of Standard" rule and the Decathlon does NOT fall under this rule. Conference champion entries cannot be made on direct Direct Athletics but must be made via email with the following link - Conference Champion Declaration. Conference Champions entries must be submitted no later than midnight Monday - May 6th.
Waiver of Standards: The IC4A will also continue the practice of allowing athletes from schools that do not have qualifiers in running events, relays, or field events to compete. They may enter one (1) athlete/relay one (1) field event. If a team has qualifiers in the running events/relays but not in the field events, that team may enter one (1) field event declaration and vice versa. This is a continuation of the practice establish several years ago. Waiver of standard entries cannot be made on direct Direct Athletics but must be made via email with the following link - Waiver of Standard Declaration. Waiver of Standard entries must be submitted no later than midnight Monday - May 6th.
DECATHLON ENTRIES & DECLARATIONS
Each school must submit an intent to compete via email with the following link - Decathlon Intent to Compete - no later than 5:00 PM on Friday - May 3rd.

Coaches will have until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday - May 8th to submit scratches online, without penalty.
In the event that one or more Decathletes are scratched, additional athletes will be given the opportunity to fill the field to 15. Notifications will be made by Steve Bartold via email.
The process of filling the field will conclude no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday - May 8th.

Checks need to be sent to: Eastern College Athletic Conference, 1311 Craigville Beach Road, Centerville, MA 02632
REMINDER: Submission of Declarations is considered a statement of intent to participate and automatically triggers the team entry fee, individual declaration fees, and relay declaration fees. Any team that subsequently chooses not to participate in the IC4A Championship is NOT excused for paying these fees.
SCRATCHES
After declaration of entries, scratches will be permitted until 5:00 PM on Thursday - May 9th.
An online scratch form is available via the link at the top of this web page.
Complete the scratch form as instructed. As soon as you submit your scratches, you will be directed immediately to a Confirmation page. PRINT THE CONFIRMATION PAGE AS IT IS THE ONLY CONFIRMATION OF YOUR SCRATCHES YOU WILL RECEIVE.
RELAY CARDS
Relay cards must be submitted to the clerks table one hour before the scheduled time of the relay event. Cards will be provided in the coaches packets and at the clerks table.
Relay cards must list the relay event and the names and bib numbers of the athletes on the relay team, in the order they will run.
COACHES CHALLENGE
With the introduction of Direct Athletics into the IC4A declaration process, coaches challenges are no longer needed. If an athlete or relay performance does not appear on the Direct Athletics performance list, that athlete or relay will not be considered for competition.

A certified athletic trainer will be available during the meet at Princeton university. Teams are requested, however, to bring their own tape and wraps.
