Additional Procedures

After the Declaration of entries, scratches will be permitted up to 5:00 pm on Thursday March 4th. The method of scratching athletes from one or more events will be via Scratch Form on this web site. The form will be available on or about February 22nd. You will receive a confirmation page on screen immediately after you submit your scratches.

COACHES CHALLENGE:

  1. Coaches are responsible to submit to Walt Murphy at Eastern Track  wmurphy25@aol.com  all possible IC4A qualifiers before his “FINAL” performance sheet is produced the week of the actual competition.

  2. Should a school/coach declare an athlete who does not appear on Walt Murphy’s list, they should bring “Proof of Performance” to the IC4A meet, including date and site.

  3. Coaches may challenge any performance at any time after the heat sheets have been made public until 60 minutes before the first event on Saturday.

  4. If a performance is challenged, it will the responsibility of the Coach of the athlete that has been challenged to produce official results of that performance. Should that not be possible, the athlete/relay will be withdrawn from the meet and the school fined $50.00.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS:

We will continue the practice of allowing athletes that are “Conference Champions” to compete in the IC4A Championships, even if they have not made the Qualifying Standard. In such a case, you may designate only one (1) conference to select your athletes for the waiver. This is NOT an addition to the “Waiver of Standard” rule.   NOTE: The Heptathlon does NOT fall under this rule.

WAIVER OF STANDARD PROCEDURE:

We will also continue the practice of allowing athletes from schools that do not have qualifiers in either the running events, relays or field events to compete.  They may enter one (1) running event athlete/relay and (1) Field event athlete. If you have qualifiers in the “track events” and not the field events, you may enter (1) field event qualifier and vice versa. In other words, we are just continuing to follow the practice established several years ago.

RESULTS:

Lancer Timing Services will post event-by-event results throughout the 2 days of competition at www.lancertiming.com. Hard copies on results will be available onsite at the end of each day of competition.
