Important notice about parking for 2011: We cannot park cars in the large field just south of the school (to the left of the campus as you face it from the road) as we have for the past 3 years.  Other parking will be available, however some of it will be further from campus.  We will run shuttles to campus from all of our parking sites.  In addition, spectators may want to leave a little extra time to get to the school from their cars.  While we will have about 400 fewer runners this year, carpooling when possible would be greatly appreciated, as this field used to hold quite a few cars for us. 

On a related note, it is quite tempting to park on our town green at the top of the hill on Academy Road, just after you turn left off of route 113.  Parking here is illegal.  It's quite important that we maintain good relations with our neighbors on Academy Road.  Please respect the "no parking" signs on the Thetford Hill Green.  Our volunteers will find you a place to park!

Directions to Thetford Academy

  • Thetford Academy is located off Interstate 91 in Thetford, Vermont, 15 miles north of White River Jct., Vermont, the junction of I-89 and I-91.

  • Get off at Exit 14 of Interstate 91.

  • Turn west on Vermont Rt. 113, go up the hill about one mile, toward Thetford Hill (signs near the Interstate exit indicate "Vt. 113 West" and "Thetford Hill").

  • Turn left on Academy Road. Academy Road is just before a small green on the left and a big white church on the right. Continue 3/10 mile to the school on your right.
     

Parking at the Woods Trail Run

  • Bus and handicapped parking is available at the school.

  • Spectators should follow Directional Arrows on signs. 

  • Spectator parking areas are filled up starting near the school and moving away.  Directional Arrows change as areas are filled.

  • Volunteers are at intersections and parking areas to direct traffic and answer questions.
